All things end up being a fraud

I don't believe in photographs
they are a fraud
to pretend you can win a moment
to pretend you can put face to face
the same pair of eyes
after time proved itself to be an enemy
eyes they never change
but they do

no, I don't need photographs
what I was makes me disown my entire course in life
the way this mirror disowns
my peculiar smiles from the past
I don't trust myself from five years ago
it's not with whom I go to bed at night

my fight is against the mirror
if I break it one day with my questions
multiple reflections
will tell me what I need to know
